Many people these days suffer from hemorrhoids caused basically due to life style problems. People these days are not able to keep up with their health due to stiff competition and work pressures. Not able to maintain personal hygiene leads to lot of medical problems one of which is hemorrhoids. It is a disorder in which the veins connecting the anus and the rectum get swollen and red forming a cushion of tissues. They tend to itch, irritate and cause pain. This causes anal fissures which aggravate the hemorrhoids. Due to high blood pressure there could be moderate to severe itching, irritation and pain. High blood pressure also may cause the bleeding from the hemorrhoids leading to an embarrassing situation.
There are many ways to make the external hemorrhoids shrink. The basic ideology dealing with the shrinking is that the stool should be soft and the defecation absolutely painless. This will reduce the irritation at the hemorrhoids and gradual shrinking. Stool could be made to be soft by having a diet rich in fibers which is found in whole grains, vegetables and fruits. One can increase the daily intake of water which will not only soften the stool but also the anal tissues and blood vessels. The anal region should be kept clean of dirt which will reduce bacterial infection and eventually less itching and irritation. Even refraining self from spicy and junk food, alcohol and smoking will definitely help the external hemorrhoids shrink.
Applying good quality creams and ointments are really helpful if the chemical composition is well balanced and as per the requirement. What one can do is take a piece of smooth and clean cloth and make an ice pack. This could be used to put over the external hemorrhoids. Along with HRT and lifestyle changes, there are ways to slow down the aging process and wrinkles, but unfortunately there is no cure or wrinkles as they are a part of getting older.
