The great thing about meditating is that you can do it anytime and anywhere. Yes, you can meditate outside or inside. In a private setting or a public setting. The options are endless and it’s up to you to decide how to carry out your meditation practice.
It’s very common to create a meditation room or sacred meditating space in the home. The main point behind creating a mediation space is to have a room that will promote relaxation and a sense of peace. What works for your friend or colleague might not necessarily work for you, so take the time to get in touch with yourself and figure out what suites you best!
When you create your sacred space, decide what colors relax you and make you feel at ease? Maybe it’s a soothing color like lavender or a calming blue. Or maybe you like dark, deep colors like burgundy or forest green. Whatever the anwer, know that the choice is yours! Have fun with it and don’t be afraid to step outside the box to create a space that is uniquely yours. Learn more about color therapy as this will help you choose the perfect color for your meditation room.
Another thing to consider is furniture and accessories. Do you want to sit on the floor, on a mat, on a chair, on a couch? Again, your choices are endless so choose whatever’s best for you!
And don’t forget to think about lighting for your meditation room. Do you prefer bright light, dark light or medium light when you meditate? Maybe candle light is the perfect lighting for you. You might not know the answer to this question immediately, so don’t be afraid to play around with lighting until you find what’s best for you!
Creating a meditation room will enhance your meditating experience and will allow you to reap all of the benefits of meditation in a calm, peaceful setting. And remember, there are many places to meditate and there is no right or wrong. There’s just a “right for you!”

The Silva Centering Exercise was created by the famous Jose Silva and a free copy of this meditation exercise can be found below
Jose Silva founded the famous Silva Method. Jose dedicated 50 years of research and development to learn what made some people happier and more successful than others. He then developed the Silva Method and technique to help people take advantage of his findings.
Jose Silva trained people in meditation, self-hypnosis and visualization BEFORE this was mainstream and publicly recognized. His teachings focused on improving your life through non-traditional healing techniques like positive visualization and meditation. Jose focused on unleashing the power of the mind to enable the body and mind to work together, rather than against one another.
Laura Silva is Jose Silva’s daughter, and similar to her father she has inspired (and continues to inspire) millions of people around the world. Laura Silva will guide you through the centering exercise below.
The Silva Centering Exercise is a guided meditation that takes you to the alpha level where you can achieve a deep level of relaxation. You will hear a gentle tapping sound in the background and this is the alpha sound. There are many benefits to using this free meditation on a regular basis, with a few of these benefits including reduced stress levels, achieving states of relaxation and enhancing creativity and intuition.
Know that it's important to focus on the actual words and messages presented throughout the guided medtitation and it's even more important to remain in the present. Start using your imagination on a regular basis as this will help you out with your positive visualization practices!
