All About Reiki Meditation

Posted by herbmaster on Jul 12, 2010 in Uncategorized

Reiki is one the latest healing trends and it’s based on ancient Japanese healing techniques. Reiki is comprised of two Japanese words, Rei and Ki and these two words have the combined meaning of Universal Energy. When you put everything together, Reiki is an ancient healing technique that channels energy through the healer to the recipient.

As opposed to Western Medicine, Reiki is an all-natural healing technique that focuses on reducing stress, improving relaxation and removing negative energy blocks throughout the body. It’s very common for negative energy to manifest in the body as physical ailments and reiki actually helps to address the root of the problem to actually remove the physical ailment, rather than cover it up with medications and pain relievers.

Reiki healing also involves the 7 Chakras found throughout the body. In case you’re unfamiliar with Chakras, the 7 Chakra centers are the:

1. Root Chakra (at the base of the spine)
2. Naval Chakra
3. Solar Plexus
4. Heart Chakra
5. Throat Chakra
6. Third Eye Chakra
7. Crown Chakra (at the top of the head)

Chakras can be thought of as energy stores found throughout the body and that’s why they’re important in reiki. Chakras receive Universal Energy and this energy is then able to be spread throughout the body by the healer.

Reiki Meditation helps to spread healing energy throughout the body. There’s not a particular type of reiki meditation, but rather it’s important to incorporate meditation into your reiki practice. Recommended types of meditating for reiki include healing meditations or chakra meditations. It’s very important to remove unwanted toxins from the body to make room for positive healing energy.

Try incorporating a daily meditation ritual into your reiki practice and you’ll undoubtedly notice a change. Realize that every new practice takes time to master and meditation is no different. They say that patience is a virtue so keep this in mind when you meditate. Meditation takes years of practice to perfect, but the benefits will start to show immediately not only in your reiki practice, but in other areas of your life as well!

Is The Rise of Natural Healing About To Begin?

Posted by herbmaster on Oct 18, 2009 in Uncategorized

There is a tension, much like the yin and the yang, that exists between the established big power medicinal industry and the old time natural ways of healing. No question about it, the balance of power is in favor of the big power house companies. They have lots of cash and lots of political influence too.

Therefore, you have an industry that manufactures drugs. Maybe, as rumour has it, they have wrapped their arms around a certain government regulatory agency. Who knows? With this power, they can spend money on research and get ‘approved’ by this regulatory agency. Then they can market their prescription medications for outrageous prices.

As the counterpoint to this alleged tragedy, the vitalists persist. Despite efforts to obliterate them, the old ways, old remedies, old books, old lore is still passed down. In fact, many of the so called ‘modern’ ways are simply synthetic copies of isolated ‘active ingredients’ found in nature, mostly in plants.

As a result of this crazy power structure, the every day remedies that grow in the desert or the forest or maybe even one’s own backyard can’t get the coveted government stamp of approval as a substance that really works. These natural ways may not even have the long list of side effects that today’s pharmaceuticals may have. It’s a bit ironic when you think about it. On the other hand, mother nature was there long before the current government / corporation power structure that we know today. It seems that mother nature will be there long after the status quo disappears too. Mother nature never needed government approval. But even today, mankind and governments need mother nature.

The tighter the grip becomes the more slips through the fingers. The balance of power is definitely too far to one side. Yet, what is happening on the other side? Old books, alternative healers, folk wisdome, old remedies, oral traditions are all still there, even if they have been forced underground. But they must emerge. As the current greedy power structure gets more greedy, more people will be forced to turn to alternatives, simply because they cannot afford what has been forced upon them any longer. Today, the cost of treatment is growing beyond the capabilites of the average person.

In other cases, some people just know about simple things that work and they seem to work better, cost less and cause less trauma to the human body when implemented than the results derived from going through ‘official’ channels. If you are a person who doesn’t have unlimited wealth, what way are you likely to go?

The Healing Power of Nature: We Must Not Forget….

Posted by herbmaster on Sep 10, 2009 in Uncategorized

There is a balance between industries and common every day folk across all walks and aspects of life. There is no doubt about it, big corporations have become very powerful. They have developed influence in the political arena as part of their power structures.

Yet, the natural remedies that currently exist, such as herbal remedies constipation, have no such champion with big purse strings. In fact, many of the big prescription drug medications are nothing more than concentrated, synthetic and slightly different copies of compounds that naturally exist in nature.

So, therefore, regular remedies, like herbal home remedy, that grow in the forest, desert or perhaps even in one’s backyard can’t get the stamp of approval from this unnamed government agency, as a substance that is proven to have a positive effect on health.

It’s rather funny when you think about it. But then, nature was there before any government and nature will be there after. Interesting isn’t it? Nature doesn’t seem to require government approval.

But we spoke of a balance a few moments ago. The power definitely seems to rest on one side of the equation. But what is happening on the other side? Alternative healers, old books, and folk wisdom passed down through the ages are still out there and from them, many people learn to apply natural healing methods (that don’t have that big stamp of approval from an authoritarian agency) to solve their health problems. Because the costs of getting ‘official’ treatment and officially approved prescription meds now make the cost of getting said treatment beyond the reach of many.

In other cases, some people just know about simple things that work and they seem to work better, cost less and cause less trauma to the human body when implemented than the results derived from going through ‘official’ channels. If you are a person who doesn’t have unlimited wealth, what way are you likely to go?
