If you’re aim is to keep a slim, muscular figure you definitely need to start eating more fruit and veg. There are some people who will find this easy to accomplish, but the majority of people are still finding it really difficult to do. Just remember to take this lifestyle change one small bite at a time, you can find hundreds of small changes to make every day, and these small changes add up over time. A good place to start is replacing your high carb foods like potato’s, rice and pastas with healthy servings of fruits and veg. It doesn’t matter where you eat, you will always find fruits and veggies which you can bang on your plate.

You can make these healthy changes everywhere, even at your local subway. When you place your normal order just ask them to hold on the mayo and fatty cheese, you can get extra meat and vegetables instead. If you need some kind of sauce on your sub just add olive oil and vinegar. Replace the junk food snacks with a serving of fruit too.

If you want six pack abs it’s important to eat as much fruit and veg as you can as it helps keep your body fat percentage low, the perfect abs work out at home can be found here.

The fastest way to eat more vegetables and fruits is to start swapping meals daily, instead of that one big meal you used to eat late in the day, try eating a salad and just see how much more fresh you feel in the morning. Just think how many different salads you could make with all the different vegetables there are in the supermarket, get creative! You can even make the same salads every day but just switch the dressings and you’ll have a different tasting, healthy meal every night of the week.

Try making you meals the night before, you can leave it in the fridge so its good to go the next day. Grabbing a meal fresh from the fridge is a lot cheaper than spending money at a fast food joint, and a lot healthier too. I also always make sure I have a selection of fresh fruits available so I can grab a healthy snack if I’m peckish throughout the day.

If you spend a lot of time at fast food joints like Burger King or McDonald’s remember that they also have the option of fruits instead of sugar filled junk foods. Last but not least – if you’re honestly that pressed for time that you can manage to make your own salads try grabbing one from the store, although they aren’t my first option I sometimes have to settle for this if I’m in a mad rush.
